Friends:
I need to ask you again for your continued support of Quintana Roo, for your trust, and that we all assume the responsibility of taking care of ourselves and others. In order for our recovery program to work, and in order for us to reignite our state’s economy, we must learn to coexist responsibly with the coronavirus.
That is why it is so important that those who can remain at home stay at home, and make it safer for those who do have to leave home for work to do so. This will minimize the amount of people on our streets, public spaces and public transport, and will minimize the amount of physical contact between citizens.
We have to co-exist with the coronavirus. This means that we will do things differently for the time being. We will move about our neighborhoods and cities differently, we will greet each other differently, we will keep social distancing in public spaces, we must continue to wear face masks, wash our hands and take extra measures to clean surfaces.
We must do all of this so we can remain a responsible society. This is the only way to execute our recovery program.
I ask all of you to keep that great responsibility and solidarity that Quintana Roo showed when we were at home and we decreased traffic by 85% of the movement in our cities.
Today we must keep up that solidarity and sense of responsibility to take care of ourselves.
The health of our citizens is first, and only by taking care of this can we ensure our economic recovery.
at if we execute all these measures, andwith the support of the hospital expansion, with the support of the healthcareprofessionals and the people who care for those who unfortunately have been infected with Covid and have required a hospital bed or a fan to be able to breathe, we can move forward. We want to be seen as a responsible, strong state that sets an example at a national level.
Let’s do it together because it’s the only way forward.
Together We Will Succeed.
