Friends:
I want to remind you again about the importance of taking care of ourselves.
Taking care of ourselves, taking care of our families, our friends, our vulnerable groups, who stand to suffer the most from this situation need our attention. The 500 deaths that we mourned in our state are not just numbers, they are people, they are parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, coworkers, they have a first and last name and they also have a family.
And all of them must be remembered so that we do not fall into situations of overconfidence. If we lower our guard we could become sick, wind up in the hospital, get intubated and face possible death. Therefore, let’s take care of ourselves and each other and let’s be responsible, as we carry out our economic recovery programs. Let’s do it responsibly, with commitment for the success of Quintana Roo.
We managed to be the most responsible state in terms of mobility when we were asked to stay at home. We reduced mobility by 85% in active cities like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum and that is thanks to all of you.
Today, I am sure that we can go outside and live with the coronavirus, keeping the distance between us, wearing a face mask, taking care of ourselves, and our communities. This is what will allow us to have the possibility to ignite the economic recovery of Quintana Roo.
Remember that if we do it together, we will do it much more effectively and much more efficiently —
Together We Will Succeed!
